We accept cash, company cheques, Visa and MasterCard.
What are your terms?
We require a 50% deposit for most work and the balance is due upon completion. If you’re working with us on a regular basis, you may wish to fill out a credit application to request net 30 day terms.
Do you offer a warranty?
Many of our products have a warranty. Please ask for details on the product you’re purchasing.
What file formats do you accept?
We accept AI, EPS, PDF, TIFF, PSD AND JPG files. Please see our Artwork Submission Guide for more details and settings for each of the file formats.
How do I upload my artwork files?
Files that are 10MB or less may be emailed to us. Please check our Artwork Guidelines before sending files.
Another great way to send us files is through www.wetransfer.com. It’s easy and quick and you don’t need to sign up for an account.
How accurate can you reproduce the colours in my file?
We’ll produce the best images from the artwork provided. Please see our artwork guidelines for preparing your files. Better Signs prints using a seven color process: CMYK ink set plus light cyan, light magenta and light black. We cannot print spot, metallic or fluorescent colors. All files sent for printing should be CMYK. If your project requires specific colour matching, please request a colour proof. (this is a $35 additional charge) We will print directly from your supplied file(s) if a colour proof is not requested.
What resolution and scale should I use in my artwork files?
It’s best to work at 100% scale whenever possible. Often it’s necessary to work at 50% or 25% scale. The resolution requirement for digital images will vary between 72 and 300 dpi depending on the product we’re printing. At the finished output size, use the following resolutions as a guide:
Banners 75-150 dpi
Decals 300 dpi
Point-of-Purchase graphics 300 dpi
Trade show graphics 150-300 dpi
Vehicle graphics 150-300 dpi
Window, wall or floor graphics 75-150 dpi
What is a bleed?
A bleed is a continuation of your image or artwork beyond the trim size of your graphic. If your image or colour extends to the edge ensure that the bleed extends past to allow for trimming. Usually a 1/4” to 1/2” bleed is sufficient.
What is the difference between vector and bitmap files?
A vector object is a mathematical description of a geometric form. Vector paths are defined by points, which are used to create lines and curves, called vectors. Vector objects are not resolution dependent; there is no degradation in quality when you zoom in or scale them larger or smaller. On the vector object below, notice how smooth the palette’s edges appear even when magnified.
In contrast, a bitmap image is made up of a grid of pixels (coloured dots). Images with complex color variations, such as photographs like the one below, are most often bitmap images. When the photograph is viewed at the correct resolution, its pixels fit together like tiles in a mosaic to form the image. Bitmap images are resolution dependent; the quality of the image will decrease when you zoom in or scale it larger.
What is a vehicle wrap?
A vehicle wrap is a large vinyl graphic or decal applied directly to a vehicle. If the vehicle has curves our installers use heat to stretch and “wrap” the adhesive film onto the vehicle. The decal is laminated for durability and UV protection. The decals protect the vehicle’s paint surface and can be removed years later.
The decal can cover the entire vehicle top to bottom, or part of the vehicle. Graphics that cover less than the entire vehicle are called partial wraps. Contour cut vinyl graphics (rather than printed decals) are combined with partial wraps to created stunning, effective advertising for any vehicle.

How fast can my project be completed?
Our turnaround times can vary depending on the work involved and our current workload. We accommodate rush orders whenever possible. We will provide an estimated turnaround time on our quote.
