What resolution and scale should I use in my artwork files?

It’s best to work at 100% scale whenever possible.  Often it’s necessary to work at 50% or 25% scale.  The resolution requirement for digital images will vary between 72 and 300 dpi depending on the product we’re printing.  At the finished output size, use the following resolutions as a guide:

  • Banners 75-150 dpi
  • Decals 300 dpi
  • Point-of-Purchase graphics 300 dpi
  • Trade show graphics 150-300 dpi
  • Vehicle graphics 150-300 dpi
  • Window, wall or floor graphics 75-150 dpi
